Updates
This is where you'll get periodical updates in a blog-style format (sort of), except there's no ability to like, dislike and no ability to comment, due to the fact that the platform I use to power my website does not offer a Blog feature/option to be able to add updates directly, so I'm adding things manually in a different way.
I look forward to sharing news, updates, behind-the-scenes goodies and more coming your way. Enjoy!

Hey, sorry I've been quiet a while. Been busy with a lot of projects, just got home from the HorrorNerd Experience Summer Tour and now currently resting and taking a self-care break for the next few weeks.
However, new merchandise, new YouTube videos and a lot of really exciting new content is coming your way and will be scheduled to be published in advance on a weekly basis so that I can rest for a while while the content, videos, etc. are published in advance weekly, and the new merch designs will be completed by October 4th, just in time for the Halloween/Spooky/Fall season!
That's all the updates I have for now, and I'll see you again in a few weeks. Oh, and don't forget to subscribe on YouTube and support me on Ko-Fi for the time being. There's a lot you don't wanna miss out on!
August 6th, 2024
I realize that I haven't posted in a while, but I've been busy on various socials, including Instagram, Threads, Bluesky, Twitch, YouTube, etc., so I apologize if this is long overdue.
Anyway, I'll be headed back on the road August 16th to continue the HorrorNerd Experience Summer Tour, and I look forward to sharing the new content that is going to be very exciting and awesome to check out when it's available on various platforms. However, I'll be making it exclusive first to annual subscribers here on the website and to Ko-Fi subscribers then it'll be made public usually about a week or maybe two weeks AFTER it's available to subscribers only, so if you wanna sign up either for $1 or $5 a month on Ko-Fi to get exclusive tour content and access to my latest updates while on tour, click here. If you want to save money and become a first-time subscriber, click here to pay only $2.70 for YOUR ENTIRE FIRST YEAR's membership!
I have a lot of projects in the works, and I have doctor's appointments, upcoming surgeries/procedures and still trying to finish the townhouse/stream room renovations, so thanks for your patience during this time and I'll see you all soon with more updates to come.
February 14th, 2024
It's Valentine's Day, obviously, but I hope all of y'all out there are having a good time, being safe and most importantly, using this particular day to practice revolutionary and authentic self-care and even solo dating yourselves, if you have no partner(s), that is. It's critically important to be able to feel rejuvenated, have the ability to love yourselves and not to stress out so much.
Anyway, here's my latest updates so far:
- I'm in the process of updating and rearranging my stream schedule on Twitch, focusing primarily on all new horror games one day a week, and then retro/older horror games (from the last 43 years, starting out in the 1980s) to the most recent games from the last 15-20 years on another day of the week, thus leading to the question and possible theory that it'd probably be better and wiser to have a 2-day a week stream schedule and being able to simply format everything into a particular way to ensure guaranteed Stream Highlights videos to be featured on YouTube, rather than releasing full-length VODs, which I've stopped doing (starting March 5th, 2024) and focusing more on clips to be used on Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts in the weeks and months to come.
- That update also led me to consider the future of The HorrorNerd Experience podcast show and switching back from livestreaming episodes to much more structured and easily organized format, meaning I can record parts that I need and then get such footage edited and wrapped up in post-production with my crew and release new podcast episodes that way, thus eliminating the need to do a livestreamed podcast episode periodically, hopefully starting in Season 2 in the Fall of 2024 soon.
- I've finally updated my Ko-Fi! It's now going to feature all my content and projects not just from my horror content creation/filmmaking, etc. career, but from my other platform that also focuses on retro/cozy/etc. content and projects, and while the Ko-Fi will still be labeled with the HorrorNerd name, the tier plans featured and presented to the community will be set up differently to allow you to focus on the content/exclusives/goodies, etc. that YOU want to have access to on a monthly basis, such as the $1/month General Support Tier plan, allowing you a simplified and general basic access to all content I create on both channels/platforms, etc., but not getting additional exclusive content that will be separated and focused into The HorrorNerd Society tier plan of $3 a month and The Cozy Tiny Hands Army Tier Plan of $5 a month. Enjoy!
- The annual tier plan, which is EXCLUSIVELY only on this official website here, will still feature a lot of the horror content, goodies, exclusives, etc., but it's offered at a price that's still reasonably affordable annually, only at $27 a year. You'd still get the same type of content you'd normally get from the HorrorNerd Society Tier plan on Ko-Fi, or from my Twitch subscriptions or from my eventual future YouTube Memberships, but until such a time if and when it's no longer available and my YouTube Memberships is finally activated, I'll eventually shut down Ko-Fi and the annual tier membership option to be removed from my website once YouTube Memberships is finally available at 500 subscribers and 3,000 public watch hours (according to the latest newly updated requirements for the YouTube Partner Program). I'll then merge just about all the horror content, updates, exclusives, goodies, projects, etc. to YouTube Memberships in the near future shortly after.
- I'm informing everyone effective immediately that there'll be several SEPARATE Kickstarter campaigns and a short promo video for potential brand new Ko-Fi/Twitch subscribers to pledge either monthly on Ko-Fi or Twitch or to pledge via Kickstarter to help with not just 3 new horror films that's been a LONG WORK IN PROGRESS for years with my crew from Oconeth Studios, but to also eventually help with FINALLY finishing the HorrorNerd Experience stream/gaming room and townhouse renovations and the rebuilding of the new Oconeth Studios headquarters location. I'll be explaining more in a future YouTube video that's coming soon in a few weeks or so (probably less), most likely with 2 separate YouTube videos to better focus on the themes of supporting on Ko-Fi/Twitch but also supporting on Kickstarter. I would like to finally finish the films and set a reasonable goal of each Kickstarter campaigns that would go directly to the crew, the filming in progress and to cover all required expenses/fees, etc. to ensure that the films will be completed on time and to pay for important expenses to guarantee filming to continue well into not just post-production, but to finally tour to promote and release the films at various horror film festivals and eventually, a horror streaming platform and of course, releasing Limited Director's Cut Special Editions of said films on Blu-Ray, DVD, customized VHS tapes and 4KUHD with some kickass goodies to go with various/separate bundles, similiar to how the folks who created The Journey Into Darkness series would offer awesome perks/goodies to go with their DVDs and Blu-Ray releases.
So having shared all those summarized updates, I'd like to give you something else that I'd like to share: as you probably have been aware of as of late on Instagram and Threads, I've been battling and struggling with some health issues for more than a decade-plus now, and most recently, there's been a significant change in my health as of late and while it's not all bad, it's also not ALL good, but still hopeful enough to address those issues in a timely fashion to a point where it's less severe, more manageable and I finally reach the desired quality of life that is stable, healthier and positive as a disabled person. I've had to reschedule and even cancel some projects, events, streams on Twitch, podcast episodes, etc. in recent weeks/months, so I do apologize to the horror community for some of the delays that was caused by the health issues and not just that, but there's been some severe climate change concerns as well and some budgeting that needs to be updated and changed in a way that would allow for continued work and hopefully, no longer delaying, rescheduling or cancelling such events, streams, projects, etc.
And finally, to conclude and wrap up, I should let you all know that touring will resume soon, mostly to work on YouTube videos, interviewing various horror shops/venues/attractions, etc., and to experience some ghastly and scary places along the way. My team and I have discussed where to tour this year, and we expect to start said touring by Summer 2024 (at the earliest, May 2024, or the latest June/July 2024), then touring for roughly 2-3 months, then returning home on time by mid to late September before starting up my HorrorNerd Experience podcast's 2nd season and getting ready for the Spooky Season (Halloween/Samhain, etc.) and doing our usual stuff on Twitch, YouTube, etc. for the rest of the year, plus more work on filming the horror films until it's completed then I'll announce an official release date for all 3 films soon.
Until then, Happy Valentine's Day if you celebrate it, or for those in the horror community, enjoy this particular day the horror way, in the best ways you know how. Plenty of horror movies! I'll see you soon in the next update.
Sincerely,
Lorelei
(aka L.K. the HorrorNerd)
P.S., I forgot to add one more thing: I wanted to inform you that the end of Season One of The HorrorNerd Experience is slated to happen at or around April 2nd, 2024 with the season finale episode, whereas I'll eventually no longer offer live-streamed podcast episodes and instead, in its place come Season 2, it'll all be recorded and filmed in advance to be released weekly in YouTube video and Spotify/iTunes, etc. formats coming soon. That's all for now. See you soon!
